What is the best way to build a functioning website, if I have no web design experience?

   What you could also do is use a free content management system like Drupul or Joomla to build a website quickly and easily. I have never used Godaddy’d ecommerce services but have heard that they are pretty easy to use.
   I also own a web hosting company and give away free hosting if you need it.

   coffeCup is great but not for business owners, only for web designers, or the like. You wanna be busy building your business not be a programmer.

   I am a small business owner and I got my website developed from Tagstra web solutions. It cost me around $1,500 for me to set up my online shop (payments with NAB) with around 6 content managed areas( for special offers, latest news, manage my pricing , products etc) .    Go to http://www.wix.com and have a look at that. I run a web design business and we use this extensively. It is a great tool and very easy to use.

   yeah you can try from such sites but you cannot directly build the site by using it .you have to buy to own the site.acquire the knowledge about web designing by joining in any course related to it or go for some web designer.

    I use bluehost, but have modest programming background. It’s easy because you click a button and can install many of the applications listen in this thread, like Joomla, Drupal, etc.

    But, if you aren’t feeling like messing with it at all then you might try wix.com. The only issue with it will be exactly what you’re looking for- the shopping cart. I found this thread that discusses it, and it doesn’t sound like it’s easy. Perhaps that’s just this one thread though…

    I’m in favor of bluehost, or similar (godaddy). I don’t like godaddy since their business practices are fairly shady. It’s impossible to use their shopping cart and check out without almost accidentally buying tons of extra stuff.
