You need to be a little more specific. What do you mean by problems?
One big problem is the fact that people still use Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6. They are insecure and don’t properly render html and css so it makes it harder to code sites.
Not sure if that’s the type of problem you are looking for or not…
What environmental damage is being done by this industry?
No environment damaged caused by web designing.
What technological changes have impacted the industry in a negative way?
Technological change may give positive effect to the industry. Like to move from old web standard to web 2.0 standard.
Are there scientific concerns in this industry?
You have to put your research specifically in creativity in design.
Can regulations be enforced?
Yes and no, you can design what ever you want but it should not violate the regulations.
Are children’s lives being negatively impacted?
It is depends on what you are designing
In short, web design industry having very good future and will rock forever.
There is problems everywhere buddy! In the web design industry, the main problem is that it is growing at a rapid speed. Just think of every kid that had a iphone or loved the net in the last 10 years, now growing up to study and become a web designer. It’s flooded and the strong survive, so the standards of skill is rising. Web Design also calls for knowledge spanning from graphic design to coding the website. These things are changing rapidly and may lead to a competitive edge if you know it thoroughly. Design is moving to web 2.0 features with light effects like reflections and shiny buttons, while web development is getting more complex with different ways of approaching a project. Nowadays, developers can use either php, joomla, ajax, wordpress, etc… when years ago it was mainly html. These new platforms cause each developer to stick to what they know or rush to keep up with the nerds who know all of these things. Next, the pricing is dropping as well. Designers are foolishly lending out their skills for near minimum wage rates just to get some work in this hurting economy. U had some question about scientific and environmental concerns, but i dont think there is any. There may need more regulation and laws to help business with scams, security, and copyrighting. Because the web is a world wide network, government can only regulate their own country, plus its hard to tell where some computers are located with new tech devices out there. The problems include security, identification of the users, and no structure in the industry. Kids are exposed to alot and we dont know the later impact of having every answer at the tip of your fingers. I feel all this tech stuff is growing too fast, and their should be some regulation to help everyone learn it slowly. Take chat and email for example, chat is barely even used because it came out when dial up was popular, now its slowly coming back as Twitter and Text messaging grows. Myspace has email and its now a basis for yahoo, google, and microsoft. When things grow to fast, history repeats itself until the new stuff effectively used. We need platforms to build from and not just let it run wild or even isolated in government labs. There’s no structure, but still, i love each piece i manage to put together. I guess it helps us compete, grow faster, and race for the best skills to become rich, but i do feel sorry for the gap it leaves in the computer illiterate. Well thats my 2 cents and if u need any online business functions from starting ur own company to getting help, just email me at elucidmarketing@yahoo.com Take care and good luck! I hope this wasn’t homework but a real question, lol.
